Literature Review on Life of Kapuchu

1. Introduction

The blog of a hikikomori (引きこもり), soon-to-be NEET, or 宅女 for that matter. Refer to section 3 (Results and Discussion) for more details. Kapuchu (カプッ、チュ~!) is the trademark of Mocha in Rosario Vampire (Akihisa, 2004).

2. Methodology

Kapuchu’s social circle, school, life goals, daily activities and hobbies for 21 years were nonchalantly studied. However, statistics have shown that this factor does not significantly affect the evolution of Earth and lives of other beings (p=0.05). All documentations will be on this blog, as the subject is seldom approached and talked to in real life.

3. Results and Discussion

*This section will be written from a first person’s point of view

3.1 School

Your typical 12-to-12 mugger, currently studying in Massey University (Singapore) in Food Science and Technology. Hates group work, especially with fat-assed group members. After nearly a decade, I still want to fulfill my wish of working in Meiji Japan. Don’t know whether to thank Meiji or not for landing me in this food mess :’)

3.2 Extracurricular Activities

I live to travel! One day I will go backpacking around the world, with my camera and violin in tow. Main activities when not traveling would be:

  1. Typing reports
  2. Running product development and pilot plant trials
  3. Watching anime
  4. Watching more anime and occasionally dramas
  5. Blogging, twitting, facebooking or youtubing
  6. Playing/screeching the violin
  7. Playing/hammering the piano
  8. Learning Japanese
  9. Photography
  10. Cosplaying (though already an impossible hobby with the current lifestyle)
  11. Exercising (last performed: Nov 2009)

3.3 Slice of Life

Always live each day like the last! That’s the one and only rule in my book! Have done tons of stuff which I never thought was even near reality. Backpacking in Japan alone (20-21 years old (turned 21 in Kyoto!)), running a 42 km marathon, sleeping overnight in school (ok, not a very big deal), picking up violin at this age, cosplaying, ok bla bla you get the idea! Anything but a “watch movies and treat yourself to a nice TCC/Swensons/Sushi Tei/Sakae Sushi/Thai Express/Shokudo/Pizza Hut dinner on the weekends with friends/BF/GF for the 635th time” kind of life. And please don’t rebut saying that my school work mugging life is worse off, because I am mugging for the sake of avoiding the mentioned type of life in Singapore for the rest of my life after 25.

3.4 Relationships

Still looking for my other half who can play Mozart’s Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major with me! In other words, a 千秋せんぱい!:) Don’t have much friends but those who are, are the best out there! ^^

4. Conclusion and Recommendations

Kapuchu needs to get a life beyond her QWERTY. Attempts have been made, but she is recommended to take more initiative in interacting with others, in real life. This blog is expected to remain active and dedicated to, and not to end up like previous other abandoned blogs due to lack of inspiration, time and excuses.

  1. just came across your blog. just sort of fascinated with the fact that you consider yourself a 引きもり, yet have ventured out all the way to Japan and done some really cool things that I’d like to do too. hope you don’t mind the comment :)
